Granola!

My family loves Granola but it's expensive. I try to buy the granola fromt he bulk bins at Sprouts but I find myself being able to get to that store less and less these days. So, I have been trying to make Granola at home. It has all been edible but some recipes are too sweet, some too salty, some have too many nuts or come out soft (we like crunchy). Yesterday, I made a perfect batch using my own recipe:

Dry Ingredients:
3 tbsp brown sugar
1 cup chopped nuts (we like almonds)
2/3 cup coconut
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups oats
Mix these together well, then add:
Wet ingredients:
2 tbsp oil
4 tbsp maple syrup

Mix well, spread on a cookie sheet (with sides) and bake 1 hour at 275 degrees, shake/mix the granola every 15 mins.
Once it is cooled, add raisins, choc chips, cranberries or just leave it as is.
I am going to try it with Honey instead of maple syrup next time.
